Service Description

Yoga encourages strength and maintains flexibility of body and mind. The class is geared towards children ranging in ages 3-12 plus an adult. Breathing, stretching and moving into, as well as holding various yoga poses promotes a healthy body and mind.  Yoga helps to maintain balance in times of stress.  It assists children in their ability to concentrate and hold focus which leads to greater self-esteem and self-control.  As strength in these areas grows, so does a child's confidence.  By learning to move and breathe deeply, children can find their own sense of relaxation and emotional regulation.  They can find a sense of happiness without external auditory or visual stimulation. Through yoga children can learn to go with the flow. Family Yoga helps young children stay grounded and breathe a little easier while making a connection between yoga and nature.  Our time together will be spent learning poses and breathing techniques through age appropriate games and activities.  Each week will be themed based with stories, songs and “take aways” to share with their families all that they have learned.  Each child should bring a Special Someone as they acclimate to Riverside Wellness Studio. $25 for 2 people (child+adult)
